SUMMARY:Richard Binder’s Sculpture Debut at The Fitzgerald
DESCRIPTION:***MEDIA ALERT***   \n \n Art Meets Architecture: Richard Binde
r’s New Sculpture Debuts at The Fitzgerald of Palisades   \n \n WHAT: On
Monday\, October 20\,  The Fitzgerald of  Palisades\,   a Kisco Signatur
e community\,  will host the unveiling of a newly commissioned outdoor scu
lpture by Washington\, D.C. - based artist Richard Binder\, whose work is
known for its architectural sensitivity and thoughtful engagement with sp
ace. Created specifically for The Fitzgerald’s landscaped courtyard\, the
sculpture draws inspiration from the building’s Art Deco design and the s
urrounding natural beauty of the Palisades.   \n \n This installation\, ti
tled  Uplifting \, was selected through a competitive “Call to Artists” ho
sted by The Fitzgerald and Amy Kaslow Gallery. Binder’s concept stood out
for its powerful embodiment of community\, connection\, and support\, all
values that define life at The Fitzgerald. The sculpture’s swooping form\
, with intertwined arms reaching upward\, serves as a visual metaphor for
neighbors lifting one another physically and socially. It reflects the en
vironment Kisco cultivates in its senior living communities: places where
shared strength and resilience foster a culture of care.  Uplifting  is a
permanent artistic tribute to the idea that we thrive best when we live f
or each other.   \n \n Media  are invited to experience the debut of this
site-specific installation\, which serves as both a focal point for the c
ommunity and a reflection of Kisco’s ongoing commitment to integrating art
into its living environments. The event will feature remarks from the art
ist\, a presentation on the creative and fabrication process\, and the opp
ortunity to view the completed work in context.   \n \n This moment marks
the culmination of months-long collaboration between the artist\, Amy Kas
low   Gallery  and The Fitzgerald\, resulting in a permanent work that bri
ngs together art\, architecture\, and placemaking in one of Washington’s m
ost distinctive neighborhoods.   \n \n WHO:          Richard Binder \,  Ar
